Singapore continues to provide English training courses for HCMC’s officials
The Singapore government will extend the English education and training cooperative programme for Ho Chi Minh City’s officials for another 3 years, said Koh Tin Fook, head of the Singapore International Cooperation Department, at the recent visit to HCMC.
At a talk with Le Thanh Hai, Secretary of the HCM City Party Committee, Koh Tin Fook said that the Singaporean government will improve the educational quality of these courses.
Mr Le Thanh Hai affirmed that the programme has been a success, contributing to strengthening the relations and understanding between Singapore and HCMC.
The programme has been sponsored by the Singaporean Foreign Affairs Ministry from 2002 to 2007 with 8 courses, each course lasting 3 months. So far, 239 officials of HCMC have taken part in the courses. (Quan doi Nhan dan)
